Software Engineer 

Our Software Engineers solve hard problems in the intersection of databases, search engines, machine learning frameworks, and data science. Our current tech stack is AWS, Kubernetes, Python, and C++.

Required experience

– At least 2 years of experience

– At least one scripting language, such as Python, Scala, etc

– At least one compiled language, such as C++, Go, Java, etc

Preferred experience, two or more of the following:

– At least one deep learning framework, such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, MXNet, etc

– Building web-scale services and/or distributed systems

– Productionizing machine learning models and applications

– Working on embeddings and nearest-neighbor search algorithms

– Information retrieval (i.e. Lucene, Elasticsearch, database internals, etc)

– Hardware acceleration (CPU, GPU, TPU, FPGA, etc)

Applied Scientist

Our Applied Scientists challenge the state of the art in Machine Learning, Deep Neural Networks, data structures, distributed systems, and data science applications.

Required experience

– Ph.D. in CS/EE/IE/Stats or related topic

– Proven research track record: research thesis / peer reviewed publications

– Proven applied track record: research project that resulted in a production facing technologies

– Proven expertise in machine learning, algorithms, and/or data structures

Preferred experience, two or more of the following:

– At least one deep learning framework, such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, MXNet, etc

– Knowledge in information retrieval models and metrics

– Collaboration experience with groups of scientists
